A TVBLOB Portal Engine is built into every box, making it possibile to continually add new services that become immediately accessible.

How do users access TVsites?

Anyone with a BLOBbox will be able to access your TVsite through the TV portal. Initially, there will be three ways to access any site:

• BLOBword: a keyword shortcut that you choose, which lets users go directly to your site without typing in a URL or navigating categories.
• Categories: you can register your site with us, so that it appears in appropriate categories, just like Web portals for PC.
• Go to URL: we enable users to access any URL directly, although we warn them about display issues when sites are not optimized for TV screens.

How can I promote my site?

The number one goal is to make it easy for end users to find and remember the sites that most interest them, so we’ve added several tools to enhance the experience.

• Favorites manager: consolidates user favorities from across sites.
• BLOBwords: as referenced above, allows the user to reach a registered TV Portal by typing a shortcut: we recommend promoting these on your own sites and marketing materials.
• BLOBgallery: suggests to the user new, popular, and recommended content and services.
